Daniel Valancius MD, MBA

Daniel Valancius, MD, MBA, SFHM is a physician leader with 20 years of clinical experience and a passion for patient communication. Dr. Valancius is originally from Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Care. He is a senior fellow in hospital medicine. He completed his MBA at Berry College in Rome, GA. Currently, he is employed by IN Compass Health and serves as the medical director for the hospitalist team at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA. This large team averages more than 325 daily encounters. He has been in that role for the past 7 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic he was the attending physician for the 1st hospitalized COVID-19 patient in the state of Georgia. He was instrumental in creating the state’s first COVID-19 ICU. Additionally, he is medical director for one of the state’s largest monoclonal antibody infusion programs which has treated over 3,000 patients.
