Farid Agahi is a Director/Technical Strategist with Omnissa, focused on the end-user computing portfolio. Based in the Bay Area, Farid has over 25 years of experience in large-scale healthcare IT transformation, end-user computing (EUC) in healthcare, clinical workspace infrastructure, EMR platforms and application/desktop virtualization.
This has included engineering specific solutions based on EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner and AllScripts as well as developing strategies and prescriptive EUC transformation roadmaps for Ominssa’s customers across industry verticals – Farid is the author of Omnissa’s AlwaysOn Workspace and AlwaysOn Point-ofCare architectures.
Farid engages with Ominssa customers to develop strategies for achieving their digital workspace vision. This includes partnering with clients’ leadership to develop an end-to-end blueprint that covers technology, architecture and operational aspects of their EUC future-state. As Chief Enterprise Engineer for Kaiser Permanente, Farid was closely involved in the implementation of an electronic health records program based on Epic’s platform servicing over 150,000 clinicians. He led design and engineering of a 200,000-seat managed end-user desktop service, created the Availability Program Office focused on uptime and stability of mission-critical systems/applications and developed an enterprise-wide technology roadmap planning process. Prior to Kaiser, Farid was Director/VP at Wells Fargo Bank managing the end-user computing engineering function.
