Kayla Carey

Kayla Carey is a dedicated healthcare leader with a focus on driving organizational growth and resilience. As the Chief Operating Officer for Ambulatory Anesthesia Care, a national anesthesia and perioperative care platform, Kayla is responsible for ensuring the company’s operations drive its mission to provide the best patient care in the right setting.

With a career rooted in healthcare, Kayla began her career in clinical research and public health before spending nearly a decade at Premier Inc. during the time of its IPO, and led integration of its acquisitions until her departure to start a technology company in the FamTech industry. She was most recently Chief Administrative Officer at AVIA Health and the interim COO at several small-to-midsize companies managing rapid change before joining AAC in 2024.

Kayla holds a BA from Wake Forest University and a Master’s in Public Health Leadership from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
