Marcela Reyes has a master’s in science of nursing with an emphasis in Leadership & Administration and has served in various Patient Experience leadership roles across the organization for the last 15 years. Her Clinical experience includes Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care and Emergency room. During her professional practice, Marcela was bestowed the “Beacon of Light Nursing Award”. Her passion and vision for a patient centric culture has led her to become an influential, inspirational, and strategic leader with accomplished experience improvement outcomes. She currently serves the Executive Director for Consumer Experience in the AdventHealth Headquarters, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, where she leads the delivery of experience encompassing learning, culture and sustainment for all care settings across the organization.
In this session, you will learn AdventHealth’s framework for implementing an improvement and sustainment patient experience strategy across a 52-hospital system spanning nine states. Getting back to basics was essential. We will share a strategy to get there including the tools and the mechanisms utilized to foster collaboration and a learning culture. We will also share our progress to standardizing how we define and deliver an exceptional and consistent experience across settings. This comprehensive approach may serve as a blueprint for healthcare institutions seeking to elevate patient experience and foster organizational excellence.
