Anna Koerbel

Anna Koerbel is the Manager of Business Development for the Maryland Patient Safety Center, a not-for-profit incorporated organization established by the Maryland Legislature in 2003 and first receiving designation by the Maryland Health Care Commission in 2004.  Additionally, the MPSC was one of the first 25 organizations in the nation to be listed as a Patient Safety Organization (PSO) by the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).  Now named the Mid-Atlantic PSO, it is a component of the MPSC and the state of Maryland’s official patient safety organization.

Anna earned her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University, and has previously served as the Director of Business Development for Prime Healthcare hospitals in Philadelphia and Director of Marketing for HCR Manorcare.  In her current role, Anna supports the outreach, marketing, and implementation efforts associated with the Caring for the Caregiver: Implementing RISE partnership program between the MPSC and the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality.
