Deanna Buelow, System Vice President for Acute Care Patient Experience Operations at CommonSpirit Health, brings over 30 years in healthcare. She oversees strategic planning and implementation to elevate patient experience across acute care services, ensuring patient voices drive improvements enterprise-wide.

Buelow began as a trauma/transplant nurse at Duke, moving to community health before joining CommonSpirit (formerly Dignity Health) in 2004. There, she transitioned from bedside care to clinical education, ultimately finding her calling in patient experience, leading initiatives that significantly improved performance on the California Central Coast.

Known for her approachable leadership and coaching, Buelow drives performance enhancement, passionately improving patient/family experiences and fostering positive staff, patient, and provider interactions. A recognized speaker and recipient of the Sister Marilyn Achievement Award, she holds a BSN from Northeastern and an MSN from CSU Dominguez Hills. In her free time, she enjoys travel, camping, visiting her children, and fostering dogs.
