Dwight McBee is a seasoned healthcare executive who holds the position of Enterprise Senior Vice President for Health Equity and Chief Experience Officer at Jefferson, an integrated health delivery system anchored by the Jefferson Health Plan, Thomas Jefferson University, and Jefferson Health, serving Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and the surrounding regions. In his strategic leadership role, Dwight is dedicated to advancing health equity across the organization. His responsibilities extend to students, members, employees, patients, and families served by Jefferson. Dwight has oversight of the Jefferson Collaborative for Health Equity, a multi-layered community engagement structure focused on convening, capacity building, and the development of community clinical pathways to enhance health equity in the regional service area. Dwight led Jefferson’s health-related social needs screening launch in 2023 resulting in over 250,000 screened patients annually. In his role as Chief Experience Officer, Dwight ensures Jefferson’s commitment to patient centered care through establishing the structures, processes, and partnerships that foster trust among Jefferson stakeholders. Under his leadership, Jefferson Health has achieved Leapfrog A status for multiple facilities, bolstering its national reputation. As a dedicated patient advocate, Dwight leads Jefferson’s system-wide patient advisory programs that enable patient, families and community members to form partnerships with Jefferson to improve care experiences. By actively involving patients and families in care decisions, he ensures that dignity, respect, information sharing and collaboration with patients and families is core to Jefferson’s healthcare delivery model. Dwight is a nationally recognized subject matter expert in Patient Experience and has been recognized as one of Becker’s Healthcare “CXOs to Know” for multiple years. Dwight earned his Bachelors of Science (BSN) degree in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, his MBA from Stockton University and is certified as a patient experience professional (CPXP) from the Patient Experience Institute. Dwight serves on the Patient Experience Policy Forum Board for the Beryl Institute and serves as a youth mentor for various Philadelphia organizations. He is a volunteer for the American Heart Association, Gift of Life Family House and NJ Rett Syndrome Foundation.
