Jeff Logan is passionate about transforming the customer experience in health care at Providence St. Joseph Health System and beyond. He brings a wealth of outside industry experience and lessons learned to lead Providence’s focus on the patient financial experience, which encompasses all the interactions a customer would have with the health system outside of the clinical delivery of care. Jeff is laser focused on delivering on Providence’s promise of “know me, care for me, ease my way” and has an incredible team of over 2,000 employees dedicated to providing the best possible experience for the customers of Providence. In addition to standing up a world-class customer experience function, he also manages the day-to-day operations of patient access, financial assistance, customer service and billing. As an executive leader, Jeff uses his 20 years of progressive management experience in health care and financial services to model being mission-driven and results-focused. Prior to joining Providence, Jeff served as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Customer and Employee Experience at U.S. Bank. He was responsible for the transformation and implementation of its end-to-end customer experience strategy. Jeff helped set the agenda and prioritization of investments for U.S. Bank’s customer centric, digital transformation. His health care experience comes from serving as Staff Vice President of Marketing Planning and Strategy at Anthem. There, Logan was tasked with shifting the organization’s cultural and practical focus to the customers. He led a team of more than 1,000 employees and was responsible for developing and operationalizing the company’s “Customer First” strategy. Notably, Logan developed innovative partnerships with leading customer brands to directly improve the lives of their members. While there are many life lessons and leadership principles Jeff has gleaned over the years, the one that particularly sticks out in the current environment is from Colin Powell’s 13 Rules of Leadership – “Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier”. Jeff and team are set out to transform an age-old industry and it is going to take a tremendous amount of hard work, trust, and optimism to be successful. He believes this and so does his team. Watch out healthcare! Jeff is a proud military veteran, having served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. Currently, he is standing up a military veteran employee resource group to encourage volunteer service and networking among the Providence veteran community. Don’t give up the ship! On his days off, you will find Jeff enjoying adventures with his wife and three daughters, cooking for friends, or trying to figure out how to help his kids with middle school grammar.
