AVP, Clinical and Operational Effectiveness Orlando Health

Jessie currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Clinical and Operational Excellence in support of Corporate Nursing and Patient Care Services. This role is focused on improving quality outcomes, identifying best practice, and helping support locations with implementation. One key area of focus is Patient Experience. Prior to joining the Corporate Team, Jessie served as AVP and Chief Nursing Officer for Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital.

Prior to this, Jessie acted as Patient Care Administrator for St. Cloud Hospital since July of 2020 when St. Cloud Hospital became a wholly-owned member of Orlando Health. In July of 2020 Jessie served as the lead executive for Orlando Health during the initial transition and has been instrumental in the full integration, including ELLiE implementation in June of 2021. During this time, Jessie has had a significant impact on a number of key accomplishments including: implementation of all Orlando Health clinical policies, start-up of an intensivist program via tele-medicine, improvement in patient experience and the indoctrination of the Orlando Heath Way.

Prior to her current role, Jessie spent seven years serving in various leadership roles at Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, as cardiovascular service line manager and critical care nursing operations manager. She began her nursing career at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center in the trauma step-down unit, and spent four years as a charge nurse, preceptor and unit-based educator in the trauma intensive care unit. She has also served as the organ procurement coordinator with TransLife in Winter Park, the federally-designated organ procurement organization for 10 counties in Central Florida that services 43 hospitals.

Jessie earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Florida Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Central Florida, and a Master of Business Administration from Walden University.
