Always Culture is video-based, Patient Experience training that puts the patient and family first.
The Always Culture training series trains staff on effective
communication, active listening, empathy, setting realistic patient
expectations, and exceeding those expectations. The goal is to foster a
patient-centered culture that leads to improved HCAHPS scores.
The patient-centered training videos focus on specific tactics and best practices that address five key HCAHPS domains:

Responsiveness

Communication with Nurses
·
Communication on Medications
·
Pain Management
· Discharge and Transition of Care
Each domain topic includes three videos: a 5 to 6-minute
video for staff training, a 12 to 15-minute video for extended learning, and a
90-second video designed exclusively for patient education. The patient
education videos, available in English and Spanish, set expectations for a
patient’s care, while the staff training videos provide tactics and best
practices to help them meet and exceed these expectations.
