Event Highlights:The quality of the content presented and the caliber of speakers was – I was impressed enough to have made a presentation of all my notes to the senior management at my organization.

This was my first year at Next Gen Patient Experience

…I came across the event as I was researching some conferences to go to. I sent in an email for more information and was invited to speak at the conference. We were done with our travel budget for the year but since the venue was so close, I was able to make a day trip of the conference.

I didn’t have many expectations going in…but I will for 2018!

The bar has been set high! I was very impressed with the quality of the content and the caliber of the speakers. There was a willingness among people to share their thoughts and ideas to further the cause of providing good patient care. It was like I was part of a community of like-minded people and I loved it!

There was one particular presentation from a former nurse – Liz Jazwiec – that I particularly enjoyed. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking but just simple reminders on how we treat our patients. Her style of presentation was fun and informative and I took down a ton of notes. I presented it to my senior leadership team as soon as I got back.

I’m already applying some of the best practices I picked up from the conference and I hope to have it trickle down to our staff!

I would have liked to spend a little more time at the exhibit hall…

…My time at the conference was limited and I didn’t get as much time to explore and engage with some of the solution providers in exhibit hall. It was a great line-up of solution that we may need in the future and I always like doing my research ahead of time. I did get an opportunity to speak with a representative from Get Well Networks, a solution that we already use. It was a good conversation about all the different things we can do using their tool.

This is a conference I would highly recommend to my leadership team…

…We were done with out travel budget for the year so I was the only one able to attend. And I’m glad I did – this is definitely a conference that I’d like to drag my senior leadership to. It would benefit them to hear about what other organizations are doing to maintain excellence in patient care and also serve as a reminder about things we are doing right.

We’ll be back in 2018!
